About the Twin Fixed Panes over Twin Fixed Panes window
The Twin Fixed Panes over Twin Fixed Panes window has four fixed panes in a grid, two across and two down. None of them open.
Because nothing opens it doesn't ventilate the room itself, but with no sashes it gives the most glass and light for its size. If the room needs background ventilation, a trickle vent can still go through the frame head. Sizes run from 600 to 3000mm wide and 630 to 3030mm high, to the millimetre; they're overall sizes including the cill, as our measuring guide explains. 3000mm is the widest frame we make.
Prices start at £163.42 inc VAT for a complete window at the smallest size we make it: Twin Fixed Panes over Twin Fixed Panes, a fixed window (no opening sashes), 600 × 630mm overall, white inside and out, double glazed (28mm), clear glass, 150mm cill, trickle vents: 2000 (300mm) in the frame head. With nothing to open, it has no handles or locks. Made to order, it's typically delivered in 5-14 working days; we supply only, so you arrange the fitting.

Before you order
Measure the opening
Measure brick to brick in three places, use the smallest figures, then take 10mm off the width and the height. That's the overall size you type into the designer, cill included. Our measuring guide shows each step.
Order and delivery
Each window is made to order in our Worsley, Manchester factory, typically in 5-14 working days. How buying works covers each step from order to delivery, and delivery and collection covers the area, prices and free collection.
Fitting
We supply only, so you or your installer fit the window. Our guide to fitting a uPVC window covers the job, including sitting the glass on bridge packers and refitting the beads.
Questions about the Twin Fixed Panes over Twin Fixed Panes window
- How much does a Twin Fixed Panes over Twin Fixed Panes window cost?
- From £163.42 for a complete window at the smallest size we make it: Twin Fixed Panes over Twin Fixed Panes, a fixed window (no opening sashes), 600 × 630mm overall, white inside and out, double glazed (28mm), clear glass, 150mm cill, trickle vents: 2000 (300mm) in the frame head. Or collect free from the factory. The basket shows the delivery charge before you pay.
- What sizes can I order the Twin Fixed Panes over Twin Fixed Panes window in?
- Any size from 600mm to 3000mm wide and 630mm to 3030mm high, to the millimetre. These are overall sizes: the height includes the cill, so without one the range is 600-3000mm. 3000mm is the widest frame we make. It can't be narrower than 600mm, which allows at least 300mm for each fixed pane. 3000mm is the tallest frame we make. Our measuring guide shows how to measure the opening.
- Can a window that doesn't open have a trickle vent?
- Yes. With no opening sash, the vent goes through the frame head, and the designer recommends a 25mm frame extender on top so the vent clears the plaster line. The designer's starting spec includes one; you can remove it if the room is ventilated another way.
- How long does delivery take?
- Typically 5-14 working days. Each window is made to order in our Worsley, Manchester factory, and we confirm the delivery date by email. The frame arrives assembled; the four sealed glass units travel separately, and any cill and trickle vent come loose, ready to fit. We supply only. Our supply-only windows page explains what's included and what you arrange.
