Can I have a letterplate?

Yes, on a glass-top door or a Vista panel door, for £40.12. A full-glass door can't take one.

Is the glass safety glass?

Yes. Doors take safety glass only, so every glazed uPVC door has a toughened or laminated unit: double glazed toughened (28mm), double glazed laminated (28mm) or triple glazed toughened (36mm). A Vista panel door's glass comes in the panel.

Can the door match my windows?

Yes. It's made in the same Eurocell Eurologik profile as our windows, in the same colours (Anthracite Grey, Blackbrown, Agate Grey, Cream, Chartwell Green, Golden Oak and Rosewood), so the profile and colour match your windows.

Should the door open in or out?

Open in is standard for front doors and costs nothing extra. Open out adds £48.90. You also choose the hinge side, viewed from outside.

Do you fit uPVC doors?

uPVC front doors

For a front door, choose a Vista panel design or glass over a panel. Both can take a letterplate; a full-glass door can't. The designer starts every door opening in, the usual way for a front door, and you can change it.

uPVC back doors

For a back or garden door, glass over a panel or full glass lets more light into a kitchen or hall. Choose clear glass, or obscure glass where the door faces a path or a neighbour.

Choosing your uPVC door

Glass top or a Vista panel

A glass-top door has a midrail with a flat panel below it; the midrail sits 850mm above the cill unless you set another height in the designer. A panel door takes a design from the Vista Panels range: 22 designs, including Prague, Riga, Geneva and Vienna.

Glass

Every glazed door has safety glass: choose double glazed toughened (28mm), double glazed laminated (28mm) or triple glazed toughened (36mm). The designer starts on Satin (level 5) obscure glass for privacy; you can switch to Stippolyte (level 4), Minster (level 2), Contora (level 3) or Everglade (level 5), or to clear glass. Colours

Besides white, the frame comes in Anthracite Grey, Blackbrown, Agate Grey, Cream, Chartwell Green, Golden Oak and Rosewood, the same foils as our window colours. The inside can be white or the same colour as the outside. Colour costs more on a glass-top or panel door than on a full-glass one, because the midrail and panel are foiled too.

Sizes and the details

We make uPVC doors 750-1050mm wide and 1950-2200mm high, to the millimetre. The standard threshold is included, or choose a low aluminium threshold (£48.65). A cill is optional (85mm stub cill, 150mm cill, 180mm cill or 225mm cill), and so is a letterplate on glass-top and panel doors. Handles come in white, black, polished chrome, gold and satin.

Measure the opening

Measure brick to brick, and from the floor (or a threshold you're keeping) up to the lintel, in three places. Take the smallest figures and deduct 10mm each way: that's the overall size we make, cill included if you add one. We make uPVC doors 750-1050mm wide and 1950-2200mm high.
