Every opening sash we make is fitted with a key-locking cranked espagnolette handle driving multi-point locking around the sash — the handle turns a gearbox that throws locking points into keeps around the frame, not just a single latch at the handle. Handles come in five finishes: White, Black, Polished Chrome, Gold and Satin.

Why a cranked handle

The crank sets the lever clear of the frame face, so your knuckles clear the profile and the handle turns comfortably even where the sash sits flush in a corner. The base carries a key lock — required practice for ground-floor and accessible windows, and useful everywhere for child safety.

The locking gear

Espagnolette locking runs a rod through the sash edge with multiple locking points — sized to the sash, so taller openers carry more points. Combined with the internal glazing bead (the glass can't be removed from outside) and the option of laminated glass, it's a solid security package as standard.

Hinges and fire escapes

Side-hung sashes hang on friction stays that hold the sash at any opening angle
