• Blackbrown — the window industry's black: near-black with a hint of brown, because a pure jet-black foil would absorb enough solar heat to risk distorting the profile. It reads as black on the elevation, and it's the black used across the foil industry for exactly this reason
• Golden Oak — woodgrain-textured mid oak, convincing enough for conservation-minded streets
• Rosewood — the deep red-brown woodgrain that matches most 1990s–2000s replacement stock

How foiled colours are priced

Foil is applied to each length of profile, so we price it the way the factory buys it: per metre of outer frame, sash, mullion and transom in your specific window, at the rate for one-sided or both-sided foil. A small window with one opener carries much less foil than a big three-column frame, and the prices reflect that instead of a flat percentage. The designer shows the exact uplift for every colour before you commit.

Dual colour: different inside and out

Grey-on-white — a foiled colour outside with white inside — keeps rooms bright, matches white interior joinery, and costs less than foiling both faces. Choosing "same as external" foils both sides for a colour-matched interior. Handles come in five finishes (white, black, polished chrome, gold and satin) so the hardware can match or contrast either face.

Matching existing windows and doors

Anthracite Grey, Golden Oak and Rosewood are the industry-standard foils, so a replacement window in these colours will sit comfortably beside existing frames from other fabricators. Our uPVC and composite doors are offered in the same palette, letting you match the whole elevation from one designer.

Frequently asked questions

Do coloured uPVC windows fade?

Modern exterior-grade foils are UV-stable laminates developed for decades of weathering — they are not paint. Woodgrain foils also carry their texture in the laminate itself, so it doesn't wear smooth.

Is anthracite grey more expensive than white?

Yes — all foiled colours carry a per-metre uplift over white, priced on the actual profile in your window. The designer shows the exact figure for your sizes before you order.

Can I have a white interior with a coloured exterior?

Yes — that's the default when you pick a foiled external colour, and it's cheaper than colouring both faces. You can switch to colour-both-sides in the designer.

Can you colour-match a specific RAL shade?

We offer the eight standard foil colours listed above; we don't spray custom RAL colours. Agate Grey and Anthracite Grey between them cover the most-requested greys.

Do the woodgrain colours feel like wood?

Golden Oak and Rosewood use embossed woodgrain foils, so they have a grain texture you can feel as well as see — noticeably different from smooth coloured uPVC.
