There are 38 designs: 6 solid and 32 with glass. Besides white, the slab comes in 16 colours, including Cream, Duck Egg Blue, Agate Grey and Chartwell Green, and the outer frame in white or Anthracite Grey, Blackbrown, Agate Grey, Cream, Chartwell Green, Golden Oak or Rosewood. Inside, the slab and frame can each be white or match the outside.

Sizes, hardware and the details
Composite doors are made 750-1050mm wide and 1950-2200mm high, to the millimetre, hinged on the side you choose and opening in or out. Hardware comes in white, black, polished chrome, graphite, gold and satin, and the handle can be a lever / lever handle or a long bar handle 1200mm (both sides). A letterplate, a low aluminium threshold, a cill and frame extenders are all options in the designer.
Before you order
Measure the opening
Measure brick to brick, and from the floor (or a threshold you're keeping) up to the lintel, in three places. Take the smallest figures and deduct 10mm each way: that's the overall size the door is made to, cill included if you add one. Composite doors are made 750-1050mm wide and 1950-2200mm high.

Delivery information →Composite door questions
- How much does a composite door cost?
- Our supply-only composite doors start at £954.08, whatever size you order (composite door, Norfolk Solid design, 750 × 1950mm overall, slab white inside and out, frame white inside and out, open in, 70mm threshold, no cill, no extender, white hardware, lever / lever handle, no letterplate). At 900 × 2100mm, a white door costs £954.08 (composite door, Norfolk Solid design, 900 × 2100mm overall, slab white inside and out, frame white inside and out, open in, 70mm threshold, no cill, no extender, white hardware, lever / lever handle, no letterplate) to £1,252.37 for the same door in the Sussex design with standard clear glass, depending on the design. All prices include VAT. Delivery is extra: priced by straight-line distance from our factory (M28 2LY) to your postcode district, from £30, to mainland Britain addresses within 300 miles, not Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands or islands reached by ferry. Or collect free from the factory. Our delivery page has the details. Our door price guide shows the colour prices and what each extra adds, and the designer above prices your exact door.
- Why does a composite door cost more than a uPVC door?
- A composite door has a 48mm solid timber core rather than a uPVC sash, and comes with Comp Door's own security hardware as standard. Each door is made to measure by Comp Door in Staffordshire, which is also why it takes longer than a uPVC door.
- How long does a composite door take?
- Typically 15-25 working days, because each door is made to measure by Comp Door in Staffordshire. We confirm the date by email once the order is in. uPVC doors are quicker, at 5-14 working days.
- Can the inside be a different colour?
- Yes. The slab and the frame can each be white inside or the same colour as outside; on a coloured door, matching the slab inside adds £58.89 and matching the frame £14.06; on a white door it's free. The designer shows both sides before you order.
- Can I have a letterplate or a low threshold?
- Yes, both are options in the designer: a letterplate adds £40.12 and a low aluminium threshold £48.65. An open-out door adds £48.90.
- What guarantee does a composite door have?
- Composite doors carry the same guarantee Comp Door gives. Ask us for the full guarantee terms. Section 10 of our terms covers guarantees and your statutory rights.
- Do you fit composite doors?
- No, we supply only: your own installer fits it, or you can if you're a competent DIYer. Our install-a-door guide covers the job step by step, and how buying works explains ordering, payment and delivery.
